**Summary:** Instagram is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Designer to play a central role in shaping the future of our products. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and features are valuable, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. In this role, you will:Turn inspiration into action by making shopping and discovery on Instagram seamless and engaging, helping people explore and shop in ways that feel natural and exciting.Empower creators to monetize their content and grow their businesses. By connecting them with new audiences and leading ad solutions, we help creators turn their passion into sustainable income while improving ads at scale for brands and users alike.By focusing on people and doing the simple things first, you will help develop quality experiences for some of the world’s biggest, most impactful problems. **Required Skills:** Product Designer, Wearables Responsibilities: 1. Take broad, conceptual ideas for Instagram on wearables and turn them into useful, valuable experiences for our 2 billion+ users, driving product strategy and innovation across a large organization 2. Define and drive the long-term design vision for Instagram across Meta's wearables portfolio (Ray-Ban Meta glasses, Quest, and future devices), designing innovative concepts through the craft of end-to-end flows that impact broad sets of users at scale while using the appropriate prototyping tools 3. Own end-to-end wearables mobile design and support display experiences (AR glasses), designing new experiences and layouts that evolve visual systems for emerging form factors 4. Drive design prioritization and execution across the wearables initiative, keeping the team's momentum to meet accelerated timelines while navigating complex, cross-organizational dependencies 5. Play an active role in communicating strategic decisions around the future direction of Instagram on wearables, interfacing directly with VPs and Directors to present work, align on strategy, and build leadership buy-in 6. Influence and drive alignment on product direction across multiple organizations and extended cross-functional partners, navigating competing priorities with diplomacy 7. Act as a key cross-functional IC lead accountable for the success of the wearables design initiative, leaning into workstream-level operations and processes when needed to unblock the team 8. Give and solicit feedback from the broader product team in order to continually raise the bar for wearables design quality, setting and maintaining Instagram's standard of craft excellence while mentoring and coaching partner teams **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 9. Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in relevant field 10. 8+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale, leading the end-to-end experience within a large-scale, ambiguous domain 11. Interaction design experience with knowledge defining and evangelizing how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs, plus consideration of how this innovation will scale and examples of the use of appropriate prototyping tools to demonstrate how a particular interaction will work 12. Visual design experience with proficiency in typography, desktop/mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function 13. Strategic product thinking with the experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company 14. Experience representing work to executives, clearly and succinctly communicating the goals and concepts **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 15. Examples of leadership in non-product dimensions that have made a team stronger and positively impacted the work environment 16. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 17. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies 18. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 19. Experience connecting your work with other industry-leading related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration 20. Experience designing for small screens, constrained form factors, or wearable devices (e.g., AR glasses, smartwatches, companion apps) 21.
