As a Lead Environmental Lab Engineering Technician here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a vital role in supporting our Aerospace business unit in Minneapolis, MN. You will be a part of a team of technicians and provide technical expertise to ensure the smooth operation of engineering processes and systems within the aerospace domain.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Minneapolis, MN location.

In this role, you will impact the Aerospace business unit by troubleshooting complex environmental testing issues, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of engineering processes that contribute to the development and maintenance of advanced aerospace systems.

  • Be a part of a team of engineering technicians, providing technical guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Run environmental testing using thermal chambers, humidity chambers, vibration tables, according to DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, on aerospace products. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve aerospace engineering processes and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain high quality and efficiency in engineering operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices within the team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality test results aligned with project goals and aerospace industry standards.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician or a related role, preferably in aerospace
  • Strong technical skills regarding environmental testing, the use of environmental test equipment, e.g. thermocouples, signal conditioners, accelerometers, etc., and components relevant to aerospace applications
  • Experience being a part of a team of technicians and managing engineering processes
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems, problem-solving, implementing engineering best practices, and reading mechanical schematics

WE VALUE

  • Experience with DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 standards, other aerospace test standards, and associated equipment needed to test to the above standards such as thermal chambers, humidity chambers, vibration tables, HALT chambers, etc.
  • A strong background in mechanical principles.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment

COMPENSATION OVERVIEW

The hourly range for this position is $32 - $41. Please note that this compensation information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
