This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.Deputy to Program Director for a new development cruise missile program, from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.What You’ll Get To Do: Direct all activities of the cruise missile program through completion, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are met.Establish and maintain an efficient program organizational structure and lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to achieve program goals.Work collaboratively with executive leadership and assigned staff to develop and communicate a clear organizational vision and strategic roadmap.Cultivate and maintain customer relationships to enhance intimacy and identify new business opportunities within the customer community.Lead contract negotiations, including contract scope, changes, budgets, milestones, and key terms and conditions to align with program objectives.Define and manage program requirements, baselines, master plans, and schedules using Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent cost and schedule control methodologies.Identify, allocate, and manage program resources including workforce planning, suppliers, and government-furnished equipment/information to meet program objectives.Perform proactive risk and opportunity management including identification, mitigation, reporting, and realization to minimize program impacts.Develop and deliver compelling presentations to customers, executive management, and stakeholders on program status, performance, and strategy.Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies, contract scope, and applicable industry standards, managing changes through control board processes.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, you are eligible...
