Manufacturing Engineers learn production operations and the manufacturing discipline in a controlled environment. You will develop manufacturing engineering skills, an understanding of manufacturing (cost, quality, safety and schedule), and Raytheon systems and tools. Mechanical Engineers build technical depth in manufacturing processes and are accountable for improvement and optimization.
This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas.
The ideal candidate will possess skills across the program lifecycle including proposals, engineering and manufacturing development, and initial production along with planning for future sustainment activities.
What You Will Do:
Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
Improve cycle time and lead time
Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
Perform hardware defect analysis
Design and fabricate Test Fixtures and Test Stations
Experience taking complex measurements with different measurement tools
Develop Test Fixture and Test Station drawing packages
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience
Experience working in a depot or manufacturing environment
Experience developing and writing work instructions
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in manufacturing and troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies
Experience with technical writing
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysis
Experience with interpretation of technical documentation
Experience with project execution

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
