You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM ANALYST in the Operations Department of NAVSEA INACTIVE SHIPS MANAGEMENT. You will direct, plan, and coordinate work to be accomplished by subordinates. You will evaluate work performance. You will give advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. You will find and implement ways to increase the quality of work directed. You will hear and resolve complaints from employees, refer group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to the Director. You will interview candidates for positions in the department, recommending appointment, promotion, or reassignment. You will recommend awards for department personnel and changes in position classification, subject to review and approval by the Director. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training. You will interpret general guidelines to develop mechanical, electrical, hull and weapons equipment and systems operability requirements for all ships assigned to the Inactive Ships Management Office. You will review and approve the pre-overhaul ship mechanical systems and hull surveys for precedent data, methods, or techniques, adequacy in terms of broad objectives and realistic completion within scheduled Plan of Action and Milestone dates. You will develop, coordinate and maintaining an integrated system of maintenance services including, management-inactivation and maintenance reporting, internal reviews, management analysis, and automated data processing.
