Working within our Global Data, Insight and Analytics (GDI&A) teams, you will translate complex business needs into clear technical tasks, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and build products that quantifiably contribute to business goals. You will act as an independent, highly skilled engineer who consistently demonstrates Clean Coding practices, refactors for maintainability, and maintains robust testing and security compliance. In this role, you will ensure our products meet established Service Level Objectives through advanced observability and cloud resource management.
Responsibilities
Deliver complete, high-quality software solutions across the full development life cycle with minimal guidance, contributing to multiple successful products that align with team objectives
Consistently write clean, maintainable, and robustly structured code with comprehensive test coverage and error handling, demonstrating Clean Coding practices in all development activities
Maintain an active and consistent development cadence, ensuring at least one Git contribution per week for a minimum of 40 weeks per year
Manage branches, write clear Pull Requests (PRs), enforce a consistent branching strategy, and lead peer code reviews to maintain team coding standards
Design and document stable, secure, and clear APIs, and create technical design documents for moderately difficult features, keeping scalability, performance, and future growth in mind
Apply secure development practices throughout the development lifecycle; actively scan code for security vulnerabilities during modification and proactively raise security or privacy concerns
Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated testing and automated security/vulnerability scans directly into development workflows
Establish and implement comprehensive logging, create dashboards, set alerts, and analyze performance metrics to monitor product Service Level Objectives (SLOs), balancing stability with new feature delivery
Manage, deploy, and configure cloud resources for cost-effective, secure, and high-performing operations
Translate complex business requirements into clear technical tasks, building consensus and collaborating effectively with other GSRs, product teams, and stakeholders inside and outside of GDIA
Support incident resolution, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and contribute to post-incident monitoring and analysis under senior guidance
Take ownership of features end-to-end, lead technical initiatives, identify process improvements, and guide/mentorship junior engineers while advising management on project-level issues
