We’re looking for a Special Projects Lead to serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Operations by leading Beckett’s highest-priority operational initiatives. In this role, you will take ownership of cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, partnering with leaders across the organization to improve processes, implement new systems, solve operational challenges, and ensure critical initiatives are successfully executed.
Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex business problems, and can independently drive projects while keeping stakeholders aligned and informed. Acting as an extension of the Director of Operations, you will help transform ideas into execution by coordinating projects, gathering business requirements, developing recommendations, and ensuring operational initiatives move forward successfully.
You’ll report to the Director of Operations and work onsite from our Plano, Texas office with occasional travel as business needs require.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Project Management & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional operational projects from planning through implementation.

  • Partner with the Director of Operations to execute Beckett’s highest-priority strategic initiatives.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, communication plans, and implementation strategies.

  • Coordinate stakeholders across Operations, Customer Service, Product, IT, Finance, HR, and other business functions.

  • Drive accountability by tracking project milestones, following up on action items, and ensuring successful completion of initiatives.

  • Anticipate project risks and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.

  • Prepare project updates, executive summaries, and recommendations for leadership.

  • Act on behalf of the Director of Operations to coordinate initiatives, facilitate meetings, gather information, and drive execution across departments.

Business Operations & Analysis

  • Research operational challenges and develop data-driven recommendations.

  • Analyze operational performance, staffing, productivity, workflow efficiency, capacity, and key business metrics.

  • Develop dashboards, KPI reporting, executive summaries, and operational scorecards that support leadership decision-making.

  • Build staffing models, workload forecasts, business cases, and ROI analyses for operational initiatives.

  • Gather business requirements from stakeholders to support process improvements and technology enhancements.

Operational Process Improvement

  • Evaluate operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Design practical solutions that improve efficiency, quality, customer experience, scalability, and operational performance.

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, workflow documentation, and process maps.

  • Support implementation of new operational processes while ensuring adoption and long-term sustainability.

  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work through process redesign and automation.

Systems & Business Process Implementation

  • Partner with Software Development, Product, IT, and Operations teams to define business requirements for system enhancements.

  • Coordinate operational software projects from requirements gathering through implementation.

  • Participate in testing, validation, and rollout of new operational tools and technology.

  • Document business rules, process changes, and user acceptance testing results.

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and automation.

Leadership, Communication & Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships across multiple departments to successfully implement operational initiatives.

  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and project discussions involving cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Communicate complex operational findings and recommendations clearly to leaders at all levels of the organization.

  • Support managers through process implementation, documentation, and organizational change.

  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

  • Typically requires 3–5 years of experience in Operations, Project Management, Business Analysis, Program Management, Process Improvement, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to influence and coordinate work across teams without direct authority.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Exercises sound judgment and works independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred.

  • Experience working within manufacturing, production, fulfillment, logistics, or operations environments is preferred.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Project Management, or Operational Excellence methodologies is a plus but not required.

  • Develop meaningful operational reporting, dashboards, and decision-support tools.

  • Improve business processes through documentation, standardization, technology enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Increase the organization’s capacity to execute strategic initiatives by enabling the Director of Operations to focus on operational leadership and long-term strategy.

Salary Range: 

The salary range for this position is $68,000-$75,000 Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
