Accountabilities:

    The Director, National Accounts will own the strategy and performance of a portfolio of high-value distribution relationships, driving business expansion through partnership development, market intelligence, and strategic execution. This role requires strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and the ability to translate market opportunities into measurable results.

    • Manage and grow relationships with national and super-regional brokerages, agency groups, aggregators, and distribution partners.
    • Develop and execute account strategies that increase production, improve product penetration, and strengthen long-term partner relationships.
    • Identify and pursue new strategic distribution opportunities aligned with business goals and market expansion priorities.
    • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including executives, brokers, and regional production teams.
    • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, commission structures, incentive programs, and strategic arrangements in collaboration with internal teams.
    • Partner with territory leaders and distribution teams to convert national relationships into local production opportunities.
    • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand market presence.
    • Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and partner feedback to underwriting, product, and pricing teams.
    • Support the development of specialty programs, delegated authority structures, and scalable distribution solutions.
    • Monitor account performance, pipeline activity, production trends, and market conditions through regular reporting and analysis.
    • Communicate strategic recommendations and business updates to senior leadership.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a seasoned insurance distribution professional with extensive experience managing strategic accounts, developing partnerships, and driving revenue growth within complex insurance markets. Success in this role requires strong relationship management abilities, commercial expertise, and the ability to operate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.

      • 10+ years of experience in national accounts, strategic partnerships, insurance distribution, wholesale brokerage, MGA/MGU, or carrier distribution roles.
      • Proven track record of building and managing large-scale broker, agency, or partner relationships with measurable production outcomes.
      • Experience with homeowners, commercial property, flood, specialty insurance, or other complex property markets preferred.
      • Previous experience working within an MGA, program business, or specialty insurance environment preferred.
      • Strong ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, from executive leadership to field teams.
      • Demonstrated success negotiating agreements, structuring partnerships, and closing complex business opportunities.
      • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; MBA preferred.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration platforms such as Teams or Slack, and insurance-related technology tools.
      • Licensed insurance professional or ability to obtain required licensing.
      • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.
      • Willingness to travel periodically for meetings, conferences, and industry events.
