Network Operations Lead
Job Summary
The Network Operations Lead is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security across all network environments. This role leads network operations teams, drives incident resolution, oversees monitoring and maintenance activities, and collaborates with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Support
- Lead daily network operations for LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, internet, and cloud connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Ensure high uptime and operational stability across data centers, campuses, manufacturing sites, and remote offices.
- Manage incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor network engineers and operations staff.
- Assign operational tasks and manage escalation processes.
- Develop operational procedures, standards, and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and managed service partners.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, Application, DevOps, Manufacturing, and Business teams to support enterprise initiatives.
- Participate in enterprise transformation, digital modernization, Zero Trust, and cloud migration programs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align network services with operational and strategic business objectives.
- Work with vendors, managed service providers, and third-party partners to deliver operational excellence.
Infrastructure Support
- Support enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and cloud networking environments.
- Maintain Cisco, Arista, Aruba, or equivalent technologies.
- Support hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Assist in network modernization and transformation initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Own day-to-day network operations, including incident and outage response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
- Drive network automation initiatives using scripting, deployment automation and infrastructure-as-code methodologies
- Improve operational efficiency through automated alerting, remediation workflows, and self-healing network capabilities.
- Create executive operational reports and status dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of network engineering/operations experience.
- 3+ years of leadership or team lead experience.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or global network environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
- F5 BIG-IP platform (WAF, LTM, AFM)
- SD-WAN and wireless networking
- Network monitoring tools
- Incident and change management processes
- Experience with enterprise environments and 24x7 operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to executive leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to lead meetings, drive collaboration, manage escalations, and present operational updates to technical and non-technical audiences
Minimum Qualifications
- CCNP, CCIE, F5, AWS/Azure networking certifications.
- Work with multi-national
- Work experience with in an environment of 10000+ users
- Experience with:
- Cisco ACI
- ClearPass NAC
- Network automation (Python, Ansible)
- ITIL processes
- Manufacturing or healthcare industry experience preferred.
