Accountabilities:
- Process biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across the U.S. and Canada using ADP Workforce Now with a high level of accuracy and compliance.
- Audit payroll data and reconcile payments across departments, locations, and countries, ensuring proper application of payroll policies.
- Prepare payroll journal entries and support month-end and year-end reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable U.S. federal/state and Canadian federal/provincial payroll regulations.
- Administer employee deductions and contributions including 401(k) and RRSP programs, as well as related benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from employees, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and support audit requests from internal and external parties.
- Support system updates, upgrades, and process improvements within payroll platforms.
- Document payroll processes and support training or knowledge sharing as required.
- Assist with year-end reporting, compliance activities, and payroll-related audits.
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience managing U.S. and Canadian payroll.
- Strong expertise in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance requirements, benefits administration, and year-end processes.
- Proven experience with payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, including senior leadership.
- Payroll certification (PCP, CPM, FPC, CPP) or background in accounting/finance strongly preferred.
- Experience working in multi-jurisdictional payroll environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines in a structured and accurate manner.
- Competitive part-time role with a full-time equivalent salary range of $55,000 – $62,000 CAD.
