This position will be based on site at a supplier in Cincinnati, OH.

What You Will Do:

  • Create and maintain key relationships with Suppliers’ Quality and Operations Management teams, as well as PW Engineering, Procurement, and support organizations to resolve production challenges in a high paced environment.  
  • Communicate to various levels of PW Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations Leadership. 
  • Resolve open questions/turnbacks to support the disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).  
  • Train and guide the supplier in various aspects of the P&W Quality Management System (MRB/QN submission, PW-QA specifications, eSRI, etc). 
  • Manage the ATR (authorization to release) program at the vendor including execution of the DQR (delegated quality release/DPRV) process to support material flow.  
  • Review, approve, and provide guidance to the supplier with respect to First Article Inspection execution per AS9102.  
  • Support Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB). 
  • Conduct surveillance audits at the supplier and support regulatory audits.  
  • Engage with other P&W supplier quality focal points to resolve problems and driving closure to improve overall quality signature of supplier (SQAR, PPAP MFP/SPCE, ESA/MCL, etc.)
  • Ability to execute APQP with a focus on AS13004 (PFMEA/ CP) and AS13006 (Process Control Methods). 
  • Hold suppliers accountable for root cause and corrective actions and monitor sustainable corrective action effectiveness on all escapes/issues. 
  • Support continuous improvement, producibility, and inspection improvement initiatives and drive implementation of projects.  


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BS in engineering, Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. 
  • Experience working in aerospace manufacturing and quality environment. Knowledgeable / experienced in AS9100 and AS13100. 
  • Experience in Quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T, Gage R&R and PPAP. 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.  


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of PW specifications.
  • Knowledge of Airfoil product definition practices & inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of CMM inspection practices and interpretation of results.
  • ASQ Certification, Red-X, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
