Accountabilities:

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Lead and Senior Analytics Engineers, fostering a high-performance, high-trust engineering culture focused on growth and impact.
    • Remain deeply hands-on by writing and reviewing SQL and dbt code, driving technical design, and ensuring high standards in testing, documentation, and data modeling.
    • Own the roadmap for your team’s analytics engineering initiatives, balancing delivery speed, technical excellence, and long-term scalability.
    • Drive the design and implementation of scalable data models, marts, and a centralized semantic layer that defines the company’s single source of truth.
    • Establish and evolve metrics definitions and data governance standards to ensure consistent KPI usage across dashboards, models, and AI-driven systems.
    • Translate ambiguous business requirements from senior stakeholders into clear, well-structured technical solutions with defined trade-offs.
    • Champion data quality, observability, and reliability through testing frameworks, lineage tracking, and incident management practices.
    • Optimize dbt and Snowflake-based architecture, including performance tuning, incremental modeling strategies, and CI/CD workflows.
    • Partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver high-impact data products that support strategic decision-making across the business.
    • Contribute to hiring, interviewing, and onboarding efforts to scale a world-class Analytics Engineering team.
    • Requirements

      • 7+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or BI roles with strong expertise in SQL and dimensional modeling.
      • 2+ years of experience managing senior-level individual contributors and leading engineering teams with a focus on performance and career development.
      • Deep hands-on experience with dbt and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake strongly preferred), including modeling, testing, and orchestration best practices.
      • Proven experience designing and scaling a semantic layer or metrics framework used across an organization.
      • Strong track record of partnering with senior stakeholders across finance, risk, operations, and product to deliver impactful data solutions.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and executive audiences.
      • Strong ability to coach engineers, set technical standards, and consistently raise the bar for data quality and engineering excellence.
      • Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven environments with multiple competing priorities.
      • Strong product and business acumen with the ability to connect data architecture to business outcomes.
      • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms is a plus.
      • Experience with Python or real-time data pipelines is a bonus.
      • Background in fintech, lending, or regulated industries is advantageous but not required.
