Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient backend services that support enterprise-level requirements.
- Build new product capabilities and enhance existing systems by collaborating with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Optimize backend performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems and cloud environments.
- Participate in production operations, including incident response rotations, troubleshooting, and system improvements.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code while continuously improving development, deployment, and operational processes.
- Partner with product, leadership, sales, support, and customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions aligned with user needs.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers while contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience building backend applications using modern programming languages.
- Strong experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud computing platforms.
- Hands-on experience with modern data storage technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and web development best practices.
- Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across engineering and business teams.
- Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn, experiment, and adopt new technologies and programming approaches.
- Competitive base salary range of $215,000 - $245,000 USD, with compensation determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
