Job Description
As a Security Officer - Overnights - Access Control in Springfield, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification steps, and security-related policies at the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, confirm identification and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to production, warehouse, and restricted areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping/receiving zones, noting unusual activity and documenting observations according to post procedures.
- Support screening, sign-in, key or badge accountability, and vehicle access activities while maintaining detailed logs, clear communication, and professional interactions throughout the shift.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
