Accountabilities:

    • Design, develop, and optimize scalable clinical data engineering solutions that support global clinical trials, regulatory compliance, and advanced analytics.
    • Build and maintain robust data models, data warehouses, and governed data pipelines using best practices for scalability, traceability, and audit readiness.
    • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and Python-based data processing workflows to improve performance and operational efficiency.
    • Standardize clinical data by implementing CDISC-compliant mapping strategies, ensuring consistency across SDTM and ADaM datasets.
    • Design automated data validation frameworks to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues while maintaining high standards of integrity and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with Biostatistics, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate clinical requirements into reliable technical solutions.
    • Support reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics by delivering curated, high-quality datasets and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation aligned with regulatory requirements.
    • Mentor team members, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to continuous process improvements across data engineering initiatives.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, or CRO industry.
      • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data engineering, transformation, and performance optimization.
      • Working knowledge of SAS and R is desirable.
      • Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, study protocols, case report forms (CRFs), and clinical data management workflows.
      • Strong knowledge of CDISC standards, including SDTM and ADaM.
      • Experience designing data models, data warehouses, ETL processes, and scalable data architectures.
      • Familiarity with regulatory requirements including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and inspection-ready documentation.
      • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
      • Previous experience as a Clinical Data Engineer or Clinical Programmer within a CRO environment is highly preferred.
      • Experience supporting integrated risk planning and clinical data governance initiatives is considered an advantage.
