Project Manager (Senior PM) – WANS Integration Initiative Remote (Preference for Central or Eastern Time Zone; Chicago area preferred but not required) Overview: Client is seeking a senior-level Project Manager to oversee all project management responsibilities associated with a major WANS initiative. The PM will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, deliverables, stakeholder communication, and overall coordination of integration efforts supporting Exelon's financial systems. The role will initially focus on the WANS project, with additional responsibilities beginning around October supporting a transportation/fleet vendor transition initiative. Key Responsibilities Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for financial system integrations supporting the WANS program. Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications. Coordinate delivery of integrations from Oracle Finance systems and related platforms. Provide oversight and coordination of PowerPlan-related integration efforts. Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and align with business expectations. Work closely with technical teams, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders. Escalate issues when needed while operating largely independently. Provide vendor management and PM oversight for future transportation/fleet initiatives. Required Qualifications Active PMP certification (required). 4–5+ years of Project Management experience at a senior level. Experience managing enterprise application or system integration projects. Strong budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder management skills. Self-starter capable of operating with minimal oversight. Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Utility industry experience. Experience supporting Finance organizations or Finance technology initiatives. Familiarity with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, or similar financial applications. Understanding of financial system integrations and finance terminology. Experience working in large enterprise environments. Nice-to-Have Exposure to PowerPlan. Experience coordinating vendors and cross-functional teams. What the Manager Is NOT Looking For Highly technical developers or hands-on engineering resources. Deep infrastructure or cybersecurity expertise. Resources focused primarily on coding or technical delivery rather than PM leadership. Allocation Expectations August–September: Approximately 50% focused on the WANS initiative. Beginning October: Additional 25–35% oversight supporting transportation/fleet vendor replacement efforts. Long-term need expected to continue through at least late 2027. Ideal Candidate Profile Senior PMP-certified Project Manager with utility or finance systems experience who can independently lead integration initiatives, manage stakeholders, coordinate technical teams, and drive delivery without requiring day-to-day supervision. Familiarity with Oracle Finance applications and enterprise integration projects would be particularly valuable. Identifying and managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies. Communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior management. Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Managing vendor relationships and contracts as needed. Providing leadership and guidance to project team members. Conducting project meetings and reviews to track progress and make decisions. Managing project documentation and ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date
