Role Identity & Mission
This senior Data Engineer provides technical leadership, enterprise data architecture expertise, and mission critical engineering support for global Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) and Psychological Operations (PSYOP). The role drives the design, integration, and sustainment of unified data environments that enable scalable analytics, multisource intelligence fusion, and real time decision support for operational users across multiple Combatant Commands.
Core Responsibilities
- Enterprise data engineering — Lead data engineering activities supporting collection, organization, and management of operational and behavioral datasets.
- Multisource data integration — Direct integration of OSINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, CEM, social media analytics, web metrics, surveys, and focus groups into unified, scalable data environments.
- Cloud architecture & storage — Plan and implement cloud-based storage solutions supporting ingestion, processing, retrieval, and cross command accessibility.
- Database development & administration — Oversee development and administration of accessible databases aligned with Government data standards and Security Implementation Guides.
- Pipeline engineering — Lead development of data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R to support transformation, statistical modeling, automation, and machine learning workflows.
- Tagging structures — Direct implementation of LOE/LOP tagging structures to support long term analysis, retrieval, and operational continuity.
- Enterprise alignment — Coordinate with the Cross Task Data Integration Manager to align architecture, ingestion workflows, and integration standards across mission tasks.
- AI enabled integration — Integrate AI enabled tools, including NLP for largescale text analysis, categorization, and behavioral insight extraction.
- Unified analytical platforms — Lead development of unified analytical platforms delivering real time dashboards, decision support outputs, and organized repositories supporting continuity across operational cycles.
- System engineering & maintenance — Direct system configuration, installation, integration, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance of data systems.
This position is contingent on award of contract.
Qualifications
- Clearance: TS/SCI active
- Years of Exp/Degree: 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PhD
- Enterprise data engineering expertise — Cloud architecture, ingestion workflows, unified data environments.
- Technical stack mastery — SQL, Python, R, API integration, NLP tools.
- Database engineering — Configuration, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, SIG compliance.
- Operational data familiarity — OSINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, CEM, social media analytics, surveys.
