Play a critical role in delivering life-changing radioligand therapies to patients by ensuring the reliability of GMP-critical systems. As a Maintenance & Calibration Supervisor, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for maintaining and calibrating essential equipment that powers safe and uninterrupted manufacturing. NOTE: Two positions are available. One position will work day shift and the second night shift. Shift days and hours are currently in flux. Shift hours may be 10 or 12 hours per day,


 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance and calibration technicians
  • Coordinate daily and weekly priorities to ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance execution
  • Own and manage the site calibration and maintenance program for GMP equipment, instruments, utilities, and associated systems (e.g., production equipment, analytical instruments, HVAC, EMS/BMS, clean utilities, radiation-related systems).
  • Ensure compliant execution and documentation aligned with cGMP, GDP, and Novartis standards
  • Oversee calibration standards management, including traceability, qualification, and proper storage
  • Drive root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for equipment issues
  • Monitor equipment performance trends and lead reliability improvement initiatives
  • Support equipment qualification, validation, equipment introduction, and technology transfer activities
  • Manage and optimize the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System to schedule, track, and document maintenance and calibration activities
  • Oversee spare parts strategy, identify critical spares, and coordinate closely with Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure equipment remains safe, compliant, and fit for purpose
  • Promote safety and ensure strict adherence to environmental health and radiation safety standards

Essential Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial, Chemical, Mechatronics) or related technical discipline; equivalent technical education with relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or calibration within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or radiopharmaceutical environment
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing or technical operations setting
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, GDP and regulatory requirements for equipment, utilities and instrumentation
  • Demonstrated expertise in calibration program management and maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive approaches
  • Proficiency with CMMS and basic understanding of automation and control systems (PLC/SCADA) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, and cross-functional communication skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in a radiopharmaceutical or radioligand therapy manufacturing environment

The salary for this position is expected to range between $98,700 and $183,300 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
