The Senior Manager, Operational Resilience is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing maturity of the firm’s Operational Resilience Framework. This role operates within a governance and oversight capacity, partnering across the three lines of defense to strengthen the firm’s ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to, and recover from disruption while maintaining delivery of critical products and services.
The Senior Manager will be an individual contributor assisting the Director of Operational Resilience Governance in the implementation of the operational resilience framework. This individual will play a key role in advancing the Firm’s operational resilience capabilities, including overseeing Important Business Process (IBP) identification, dependency mapping, scenario testing, and resilience measurement. The role also provides oversight of continuity planning, crisis response, and resilience pillar activities, while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, and the ability to translate complex risk insights into actionable strategies and board-level reporting.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support execution of the Operational Resilience strategic roadmap, driving delivery of key framework components and maturity enhancements
Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s resilience framework, including governance, policy, standards, and methodologies aligned to regulatory expectations (e.g., IBP, impact tolerances, scenario testing, etc.)
Provide oversight of operational resilience, business continuity planning, crisis management/incident response, and core resilience pillars, ensuring activities are effectively designed, consistently executed, and aligned with regulatory expectations and industry best practices
Develop and deliver clear, concise reporting for senior leadership, risk committees, and governance forums, including dashboards, metrics, and thematic insights
Prepare executive-level materials articulating resilience posture, key risks, emerging themes, and remediation progress
Support governance routines, including committees, working groups, and cross-functional forums
Facilitate cross-functional meetings to identify and assess operational resilience risks across business processes, technology, cyber, and third-party dependencies
Support the design and oversight of scenario testing and resilience exercises, including evaluation of outcomes and identification of control gaps or vulnerabilities
Drive aggregation of risks and themes to inform enterprise-level resilience priorities
Partner with stakeholders to enhance data quality, traceability, and usability of resilience data (e.g., systems, vendors, locations, personnel)
Build strong relationships across business units, technology, risk, and support functions to drive integrated resilience outcomes
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on resilience expectations, program requirements, and best practices
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to address identified resilience gaps and strengthen end-to-end capabilities
What you have
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Risk Management, or a related field
5–10 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, Operational Risk, or related disciplines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing executive and board level materials
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within financial services
Proven experience operating in a governance, oversight, or second line of defense capacity
Working knowledge of resilience frameworks, including IBPs, impact tolerances, scenario testing and exercises
