Responsibilities
Peraton is currently seeking a Business Development Associate, with proven ability to support the identification and growth of new business for the Health, State and Local Sector.
This role will provide strategic and analytical support across key growth functions including pipeline development and management, capture management, pricing, competitive intelligence, budgeting, and proposal operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a critical role in helping the team identify, evaluate, and win new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities.
- Partner with growth leadership to provide operational and analytical support across the business development lifecycle.
- Analyze and interpret competitor budget obligations, funding profiles, and positioning strategies to inform capture efforts.
- Research customer programs, historical spend, and budget justifications to identify strategic opportunities.
- Provide insight and recommendations based on market, financial, and operational data to support strategic decision-making.
- Support proposal teams with inputs for pricing, past performance, and program intelligence.
- Collaborate closely with capture managers, business development leads, and delivery teams to align capture strategies with organizational goals.
- Contribute to long-range growth planning, including pipeline management, investment planning, and opportunity assessments.
- Maintain awareness of key government contracting trends, vehicles, and customer priorities.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with 2 years of work experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with scheduling tools or platforms.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn new processes and skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- US Citizenship.
