Our tech provides ships and workboats the intelligence to operate autonomously and remotely, and which increases safety for maritime crews, and radically improves operator productivity.www.sea-machines.com Job SummaryWe're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting monthly and annual financial close processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and enjoys improving processes while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining supporting schedules (fixed assets, accruals, etc)Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to management.Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory filings as required.Support coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners during audits and annual filings.Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.Partner with department leaders to monitor budgets and provide financial guidance.Assist with purchasing, procurement, and expense management processes.Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives to support company growth.
