As an Engineer – Automotive Design, you will be an individual contributor within the Global Engineering Design team, supporting the product development lifecycle across automotive interior and exterior systems.
You will work on components such as instrument panels, door trims, hard trims, fascias, and functional trims, creating CAD designs aligned with engineering standards and programme requirements.
This role requires strong expertise in CATIA (V5/V6), digital assembly processes, and product lifecycle management tools, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Execute component and subsystem-level design projects
- Develop 3D CAD models using CATIA V5/V6 in line with engineering standards
- Deliver designs aligned to programme timelines and quality expectations
- Perform digital pre-assembly and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Conduct static and dynamic clearance analyses
- Ensure alignment between CAD models and BOM structures
- Implement design improvements based on CAE/CFD analysis and testing inputs
- Apply plastic component design and manufacturing principles
- Manage CAD data within PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter / 3DEXPERIENCE)
- Collaborate with D&R engineers and cross-functional teams
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
