Warner Bros. Discovery’s People & Culture team provides strategic partnership to business leaders and employees across the organization, enabling growth, transformation, and a strong employee experience. The team partners closely with Centres of Excellence and business stakeholders to align people strategy with business priorities, build organizational capability, and foster a culture grounded in WBD’s guiding principles.

This role is responsible to support the People & Culture partnership for GCO, Networks, Studios, and Corporate while also supporting the continued scale-up of the Hyderabad Capability Centre for GCO. The role requires a P&C partner who can collaborate with COEs to deliver an excellent employee lifecycle experience for employees in collaboration with COEs

The Role

The People & Culture Partner team is at the centre of the P&C function. People Partners are connected to business units (BU) and work closely with the Leaders and the business to understand the BU’s business objectives and therefore execute the talent strategy in partnership with the COEs. This role will support and operationalize the People & Culture Partner strategy at Warner Bros. Discovery South Asia for Networks, Studios, Content, Corporate and multiple global functions. 

Responsibilities

1.     Manage and support the employees by delivering exceptional employee experiences through the employee lifecycle. Ensure our organization’s treatment of employees is fair, respectful, and consistent with our business values and objectives. 

2.     Proactively provide creative and engaging solutions to motivate employees at different career points.

3.     Use data to analyze of casework trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to P&C and the Business to proactively address and mitigate systemic issues 

Partner in Harmonization of people programs, policies and practices to sustain a positive work environment for all employees Develop strong working relationships with COEs (TA, L&D, C&B, Inclusion, Employer Branding and Ops team)  to support successful implementation of P&C programmes and initiatives  Oversee performance management cycles to ensure a high performance culture within the functions Find ways for Managers/ Senior leaders to create meaningful connections with each other and their teams

8.     Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace and ‘one company’ mindset as a critical priority

9.     Develop an understanding of the financial drivers of each business area and demonstrates an interest in the external environment and competitors

10.  Work with global team to successfully align stakeholders across functions to smoothly deliver on project expectations and transitions

11.  Track HR metrics such as attrition rates, engagement scores, and diversity data to proactively manage employee relations and resolve workplace issues.

                                                             

Essentials:

  • 8+ years of experience as Business Partner in progressive, fast-paced environment. Having worked in a global matrixed organization is really helpful
  • Highly passionate about understanding & partnering with business with a genuine interest in people
  • Ability to influence stakeholders independently
  • Ability to work in an Ambiguous environment and apply good judgement to resolve problems
  • Build collaborative relationships within People & Culture team internationally as well as business teams & individual employees in business
