College Intern – Industrial Designer

Description -

What a College Intern – Industrial Designer does at HP:

  • Create and translate new design and experiences ideas into sketches, storyboards, prototypes, and models.

  • Work along side with a User Experience designer/ intern in a project.

  • Understand and experience how a HP Global Experience and Design division work.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial design.

  • Capabilities to design for physical hardware products and systems based on established design principles and in accordance with design research, strategy, practices, and guidelines.

  • Ability to effectively distill research finding and data, with strong understanding and experience in implementing and creating design proposals through sketches, storyboards, models, and prototypes.

  • Evaluating designs and making recommendations for improvements to designs and technology to improve product quality and overall industrial design.

  • Experience with application of design theories, principles, and concepts to information technology and consumer product design.

  • Ability to apply and effectively utilize 2-D and 3-D CAD tools and software packages for product design Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Able to commit 5-6 months or longer, starting from July 2026 onwards.
