Accountabilities
- Lead the complete payroll implementation lifecycle for clients in the Netherlands and Belgium, from project kickoff through parallel runs and successful go-live.
- Act as the subject matter expert for local payroll legislation, compliance requirements, and payroll best practices across both countries.
- Coordinate closely with clients, payroll software providers, internal teams, and operational stakeholders throughout implementation projects.
- Configure, validate, and maintain payroll data within payroll systems while ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Develop implementation plans, documentation, standard operating procedures, and scalable payroll processes to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, validate parallel payroll runs, monitor project milestones, and ensure KPIs and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Support knowledge sharing by mentoring colleagues and contributing to platform enhancements, testing activities, and continuous process improvements.
- Several years of hands-on payroll implementation experience covering both the Netherlands and Belgium.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch and Belgian payroll legislation, statutory deductions, compliance requirements, and payroll regulations.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end payroll implementation projects from client onboarding through production rollout.
- Hands-on experience with AFAS payroll software; familiarity with EasyPay is highly desirable.
- Strong project management, stakeholder communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience performing payroll reconciliations, validating payroll outputs, and documenting implementation processes.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced, asynchronous environment with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French language skills are considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with payroll automation, AI-enabled workflows, or process optimization is a plus.
