This role is responsible for developing and managing short-term production plans, ensuring excellent customer service levels, optimising inventory, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations. Working closely with Production, Scheduling, Brand Supply Management, Materials Planning, and external partners, you will play a key role in ensuring customer demand is met while maintaining operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Production & Supply PlanningProvide short-term planning support for assigned work centres.Develop and maintain production plans in line with agreed tactical guidelines.Ensure plans can be executed effectively within operational constraints.Communicate production plans and priorities to Scheduling and Production teams.Coordinate production plans to ensure customer demand is met as efficiently as possible.Organise and monitor external production activities.Customer Service & Stakeholder ManagementSupport the achievement of customer service level targets.Raise and monitor inter-company orders to ensure continuity of supply.Prepare for and actively participate in daily scheduling meetings, weekly production meetings, bulk planning meetings, and supply planning reviews.Monitor inter-plant shipments and work-in-progress inventory to ensure materials reach customers and manufacturing sites on time.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve supply challenges and improve service performance.Capacity ManagementTake ownership of Supply Attainment performance for assigned work centres.Work closely with Work Centre Managers, Materials Planning teams, and Brand Supply Management to achieve operational targets.Identify capacity constraints and support solutions to optimise production output.Master Data ManagementMaintain and update planning master data, including:MOQ and EPQ parametersRun ratesEffectivity datesMRP ControllersSQP and RFS dataManage product phase-in and phase-out activities to support smooth transitions.Inventory ManagementMaintain optimal inventory levels for intermediates and finished products.Monitor and report product phase-in and phase-out liabilities.Create and manage deviations, quality notifications, and rework orders.Support inventory optimisation through effective management of rework and excess stock disposal activities.Qualifications
Experience working with SAP APO or similar planning systems.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Ability to manage and analyse large volumes of data accurately.Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple functions.Previous experience within Supply Chain, Production Planning, Materials Planning, or Demand Planning.Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain best practices.Insights from previous hiresPreviously worked atPreviously worked as1.
