We are seeking a qualified and highly motivated EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Advisor to join our team in the United Kingdom. The EHS Advisor will support the delivery of a safe and healthy working environment for employees, contractors and visitors by helping implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures and programmes in line with local and international regulations. The role will also assist with EHS compliance and best practices across Oracle’s cloud environments, including data centres and related operational facilities. Responsibilities will include supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental and safety documentation and reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is an office-based role with some travel to sites (offices, project builds and cloud sites) across the UK and Ireland, with occasional travel within EMEA.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environment Health or a related field or a relevant EHS qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate; working toward NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is a plus).

Early career experience in EHS or a related role (e.g. internship/placement/graduate role/1-2 years), ideally within technology, facilities, construction or operational environments; exposure to data centers/cloud environments is beneficial.

Working knowledge of UK and Ireland EHS regulations and standards with the ability to apply guidance with support from senior team members.

Awareness of EHS management systems and compliance processes (e.g. risk assessments, inspections, incident reporting/investigation, audits); experience supporting compliance activities is a plus.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams (e.g. facilities, construction/project delivery, and operations), building relationships and positively influencing safe behaviors.

Willingness and ability to travel to sites across the UK and Ireland, with occasional travel within EMEA.
Support the development, implementation and upkeep of EHS policies, procedures, and guidance in line with UK, Ireland and EU legislation, under the direction of senior EHS team members
Assist with regular risk assessments and site inspections in office environments and operational / technical facilities (including data center/cloud infrastructure sites as applicable), documenting findings and tracking actions to closure
Provide day to day EHS support and guidance to colleagues and contractors for office activities, projects and operational environments, escalating complex issues as needed.
Co-ordinate and support delivery of EHS training and awareness, including scheduling sessions, maintaining training records, and helping tailor materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
Support incident, accident and near miss reporting and investigations, helping gather information, complete documentation, and track corrective / preventative actions; contribute to root cause analysis guidance.
Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders (e.g. facilities, project / construction teams, and cloud / IT operations) to support safe working practices and compliance expectations; support interactions with regulators when required.
Maintain EHS documentation and reporting, including inspection records, risk assessments, action trackers and periodic performance metrics.
Stay up to date on EHS regulatory changes and best practices, sharing relevant updates with the team and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with regional and global EHS colleagues to help ensure consistent application of EHS standards and processes across Oracle sites.
