Honeywell's Anthem Integrated Flight Deck is the industry's 1st Cloud-Connected "Always-On" Integrated Cockpit system, featuring cloud-native communications, navigation, and surveillance systems, powered by a flexible software platform that can be customized for virtually every type of aircraft, from passenger planes and business aircraft to defense, general aviation and the rapidly emerging class of Advanced Air-Mobility (AAM) vehicles.

As an Advanced Systems Engineer within Honeywell's Next-Gen Avionics (NGA) group, you will play a vital role in the design, development and implementation of cutting-edge Flight Display Systems and Avionics solutions. You will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking solutions for Anthem Flight Display Systems.

As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

  • System design, development, integration, and implementation of core Flight Displays Systems to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications for core flight display systems, platforms, and applications
  • Employ Model-based System Design methodologies and tools to create innovative solutions
  • Drive Systems/Software requirements development, validation, integration, and verification, ensuring our cutting-edge systems meet the highest standards.
  • Support ARINC 661 development, utilizing Scade. 
  • Create test cases based upon use cases derived from system and software requirements
  • Stay current with advancements in avionics technologies and industry trends to inform design decisions and enhance system capabilities

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years of Systems engineering experience ideally in aerospace/avionics, display technologies, gaming, or related industries 
  • Strong proficiency in systems engineering principles and processes.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced Engineering degrees in AE (Aerospace Engineering), SE (Systems Engineering), EE, etc or related. 
  • Familiarity with avionics systems and/or display technologies is of value.
  • Experience with Simulink or similar model-based design tools
  • Experience in new and/or next generation development programs is of value.
  • Experience in complex system integration projects
  • Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) I/O and IO scheduling tools (ESCAPE, PCT, HARMONIC) is a plus
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
  • Knowledge of change management practices
  • Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
