Overview : The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring material availability for purchased parts while optimizing inventory across a complex aerospace manufacturing environment. The role drives material enablement using SAP, Pelico, and Kinaxis by improving planning master data, inventory entitlement, planning parameters, and supply visibility to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive material availability for purchased parts by proactively identifying and resolving shortages using SAP, Pelico, and Kinaxis.
  • Maintain planning master data including MRP Type, MOQ, Lot Size, Safety Stock, Lead Time, and other planning parameters to improve MRP stability.
  • Lead inventory entitlement (EMP/IE) reviews and optimize inventory levels while meeting financial targets.
  • Develop and maintain PFEP and material policies aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Perform inventory forecasting, variance analysis, and root cause analysis for excess, obsolete, trapped, and stranded inventory.
  • Support Finance during inventory planning and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) reviews.
  • Manage purchased parts forecast, PIR governance, special stock planning, and NCM oversight.
  • Support SIOP with inventory plans, KPI reporting, and executive insights.
  • Drive continuous improvements through process standardization, automation, and improved planning accuracy.
  • Conduct supply risk and scenario planning for major disruptions and coordinate recovery actions across Procurement, Production Planning, and Suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
  • 10+ years of experience in Material Planning or Inventory Planning within a manufacturing environment (Aerospace/Automobile preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MRP (MM/PP), inventory planning, and master data governance.
  • Experience with Pelico, Kinaxis, Power BI, or similar planning tools is preferred.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP certification is an added advantage.
