What You’ll Do
As a Sales Operations Generalist at JCI, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day execution of our commercial operations. Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, you will manage the processes that keep customer orders moving from initial receipt to fulfillment and invoicing. You will work across sales, finance, operations, and trade compliance to ensure transactions are executed accurately, issues are resolved promptly, and customers receive a high level of service.

You take ownership of transactional processes and ensure accuracy even when handling multiple parallel requests. You are comfortable working across teams to resolve issues quickly and keep commercial operations moving smoothly. You follow established processes closely while identifying practical improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and clarity.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities are subject to change based on shifting business needs
Sales Operations Management: Execute the full sales operations workflow, including order entry and review, customer portal coordination, invoicing, and recurring sales reporting. Maintain accuracy and timeliness of all transactional commercial activity.
Customer Service Support: Support the commercial sales team in resolving customer issues, including order and invoicing questions, order status updates, and processing returns. Coordinate internally to ensure timely resolution of customer requests.
CRM Administration: Maintain data hygiene and accuracy for opportunities and customer records in the CRM system. Generate and distribute regular reports on pipeline and sales activity KPIs.
Trade Compliance Coordination: Validate orders against applicable export/import compliance requirements in coordination with the Global Trade Compliance team. Ensure required documentation is collected, maintained, and properly stored. Serve as the primary liaison between the Stack Forging Thermal Solutions team and the Global Trade Compliance team for order-level compliance execution.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations, or a related discipline is required.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a sales operations, business operations, or finance environment. Preference for previous experience in a manufacturing organization.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage transactional work accurately, maintain complete records, and identify discrepancies before they impact customers or operations.
Coordination & Prioritization: Ability to balance multiple concurrent requests, coordinate across functions, and escalate issues appropriately to maintain momentum.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Preferred Skills
Adaptability: Experience in a high-growth environment where processes are still being defined.
Systems Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively utilize business systems such as CRM, customer portals, and spreadsheet-based reporting tools. Experience with Salesforce preferred.
Trade Compliance: Familiarity with export/import regulations (EAR/ITAR) and standard compliance practices.
Compensation: $55,000 - $82,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
