Accountabilities:
- Support the end-to-end monthly close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting activities.
- Analyze complex account activity, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions to simplify and streamline accounting processes.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and support ongoing improvements to accounting structures and workflows.
- Assist in developing and documenting internal controls, procedures, and accounting processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Research account activity and respond to financial questions from cross-functional teams with clear and accurate explanations.
- Partner with accounting leadership on process improvements related to month-end close, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and support special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an in-house environment or within a large accounting firm.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong experience preparing journal entries, performing complex account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work autonomously.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization.
- High integrity, professionalism, and a proactive approach to ownership and accountability.
- Proficiency with accounting tools, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
