Accountabilities:
- Coordinate timely privileging activities for new providers, ensuring readiness for scheduled start dates.
- Manage cross-privileging processes for existing providers by collaborating with healthcare facilities and internal teams.
- Complete provider reappointments accurately and within required timelines.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with medical staff offices and healthcare facility contacts.
- Communicate updates regarding start date changes, credentialing status, and outstanding requirements.
- Maintain accurate provider privileging records and ensure database information remains current.
- Process staff dues, fees, and related administrative requests according to established procedures.
- Generate weekly reports tracking providers pending privileges and provide visibility to leadership.
- Prepare and distribute privileging reports for management, site leaders, and relevant departments.
- Review database exception reports and support ongoing data quality improvements.
- Upload and maintain privileging documentation, including approval letters and related records.
- Serve as a resource for providers, internal teams, and external partners regarding privileging processes.
- Support monthly reporting, administrative activities, and special projects as assigned.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or medical staff office environment.
- At least 1 year of experience working in healthcare credentialing, privileging, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of provider privileging processes and credentialing workflows.
- Ability to make sound decisions independently while managing multiple assignments.
- Excellent follow-up, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.
- Experience working with databases and creating or managing spreadsheets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Professional judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately, and support timely resolutions.
