How you create impact
The Road Logistics department is seeking a highly motivated RL Operations Customer Care Specialist to join our Road Logistics team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting transportation operations and ensuring customers' freight needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, transportation knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position works closely with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain service excellence and drive operational success. Some of the position expectations are the following:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to customers, clients, and vendors while meeting established service metrics, SLAs, and KPIs.
- Utilize expertise in LTL (Less-than-Truckload), volume, and full truckload transportation to determine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping solutions.
- Perform daily freight planning to maximize carrier utilization and profitability for customers.
- Manage and process transportation files in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve logistics service issues and non-conformities through proactive problem-solving.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders through effective communication.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for load planning, reporting, and data analysis.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance processes, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Communicate successes, challenges, and opportunities proactively to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned.
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, customer service, or a related operational environment.
- Experience in transportation operations, carrier management, or carrier development (preferred).
- Strong understanding of LTL and truckload transportation operations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel and word).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to support cross-functional collaboration.
Work schedule: We offer a variety of schedules to support business needs. Available shifts include:
- Monday – Friday | 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Monday – Friday | 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Thursday – Monday | 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Thursday – Monday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Thursday – Monday | 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
- Mid-shift and night-shift positions are eligible for Work from Home (WFH), subject to business requirements and successful completion of training (Training on site, day shift).
This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
