Accountabilities:

    The Manager Business Development will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and executing initiatives that expand market share within the Food & Beverage water treatment sector. This role requires strong commercial expertise, customer focus, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver impactful solutions.

    • Lead business development activities within an assigned geographic region or customer segment in the Food & Beverage utility market.
    • Identify new business opportunities, develop prospect relationships, and expand customer adoption of water treatment solutions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and strategic decision-makers.
    • Develop and execute sales initiatives aligned with growth objectives and market opportunities.
    • Collaborate with account management, marketing, research and development, and other teams to deliver customer-focused strategies.
    • Support new product introductions and contribute insights that help shape future innovations.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for expansion.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations to internal teams based on customer insights and industry developments.
    • Develop strategic approaches to increase brand awareness and strengthen market positioning.
    • Support revenue growth initiatives by managing priorities, tracking opportunities, and delivering against business targets.
    • Travel regularly to meet customers, support field activities, and develop market opportunities.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced business development professional with a strong background in B2B sales, customer relationship management, and solution-based selling. This individual should have the ability to identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, and navigate complex markets while delivering measurable business results.

      • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or related commercial roles.
      • Proven success in complex B2B environments, preferably within utilities, water treatment, food and beverage, or industrial markets.
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience demonstrating success in a fast-paced commercial environment.
      • Strong consultative selling approach with the ability to understand customer challenges and provide tailored solutions.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic accounts, develop new business opportunities, and grow market presence.
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
      • Ability to develop and execute growth strategies aligned with revenue objectives.
      • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
      • Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across sales, marketing, technical, and operational teams.
      • Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and customer success.
      • Ability to travel approximately 50-75% depending on geographic location.
