Accountabilities:
- Assist members through phone, email, and other communication channels with insurance quotes, new policies, billing questions, underwriting inquiries, and policy modifications.
- Build strong relationships by understanding customer needs, asking effective questions, and providing accurate solutions to reduce unnecessary transfers and escalations.
- Process insurance transactions including endorsements, cancellations, and coverage changes while following compliance requirements and internal procedures.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and internal teams to research issues, resolve customer concerns, and provide timely information.
- Maintain required insurance certifications and continuously expand product knowledge to better support customers.
- Achieve performance goals related to service quality, response times, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage multiple applications and communication tools while maintaining organization and attention to detail in a remote environment.
- Active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license required.
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience required; contact center experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an empathetic and professional approach.
- Ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and focus.
- Understanding of insurance compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
- Strong research skills, internet proficiency, and ability to quickly learn new products and processes.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills and comfort using digital platforms.
- Typing speed of at least 20 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
- Ability to meet remote work requirements, including a stable wired internet connection and a suitable home workspace.
- Competitive hourly compensation of $22.50/hour.
