Role Overview

As a Selling Sales Manager based in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, you will lead HVAC Service sales efforts with a focus on profitable branch growth, customer relationships, and team development. You will guide sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and account strategy while supporting the team in becoming a trusted supplier across building types.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead account management strategies that build long-term customer relationships and support sustainable sales growth.
  • Plan, forecast, and manage branch performance to deliver top-line revenue growth, gross margin, EBIT, and trade working capital objectives.
  • Assign and manage accounts across the Service sales team to support strong sales execution and performance to plan.
  • Develop and maintain Account Plans for key and target customers, including owners, architects, consulting engineers, and contractors.
  • Drive sales planning, sales pipeline management, and salesperson development to strengthen team capability and market coverage.
  • Increase market penetration by securing new customers and expanding existing relationships across local branch markets.
  • Support the development of bundled offerings and ensure sales team members are equipped to sell the full scope of solutions available.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, resolve issues proactively, and strengthen relationships with strategically important accounts.
  • Represent the management team on key accounts and help influence opportunities that support branch objectives.
  • Understand local market conditions, competition, purchasing trends, and business dynamics to guide sales strategy.

How You Will Do It

  • You will own your account assignments and sales outcomes with accountability, integrity, and a strong focus on safety.
  • You will stay close to customer needs, remove obstacles quickly, and keep the team focused on the opportunities that matter most.
  • You will use accurate forecasting and disciplined pipeline reviews to guide decisions and allocate support resources effectively.
  • You will coach, train, and develop sales professionals so they can grow confidence, capability, and results.
  • You will collaborate across the branch and with key stakeholders to win together and strengthen customer relationships.
  • You will look for continuous improvement in account planning, customer experience, and branch performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience in HVAC sales, account management, and/or HVAC field operations.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for the productivity or development of others.
  • Experience planning, forecasting, and managing sales performance against business targets.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal partners.
  • Ability to travel frequently as part of the role.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

We offer a competitive salary, commissions, and a quarterly bonus plan. The hiring salary range for this role is $109,000 - $152,000, with pay determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, location, and market data.
