Location: Marquette Senior Living
Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
Shift: Evening Shift Available- 3:30PM- 12:00AM 

Every other weekend required. Specific work schedule will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of hire.

Make a Difference in a Clean, Caring Environment

The Lead Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while providing daily leadership and support to the Environmental Services team. This role performs all custodial, housekeeping, floor care, and laundry functions while ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the Environmental Services team by assigning work, inspecting completed tasks, and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Perform all custodial duties, including housekeeping, janitorial services, floor care, carpet cleaning, laundry, and room/event setups as needed.
• Coordinate daily cleaning schedules and special floor care projects throughout the community.
• Work closely with other departments to support community events, resident needs, and facility operations.
• Train team members on proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety practices while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Floor care and equipment experience required (surface care, title grout, and carpet primarily).
• 2-3 years of leadership experience required.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including lifting and standing/walking for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Able to pass a background screening, physical, drug screening, and TB skin test upon hire.
