Program Support Assistant

The Long Beach VA Medical Center is searching for a Program Support Assistant to serve within the Nursing, Spinal Cord Injury and Rehabilitation service. Welcome to VA Long Beach Tibor Rubin - History Duties include, but are not limited to: Carrying out a full range of duties in the Spinal Cord Injury Healthcare Group with specific responsibility for providing clerical, administrative, and clinical support to facilitate efficient and effective function of the Therapy Services Division of the SCI/D Healthcare Group at the VA Long Beach Medical Center. Utilizing methods of automating administrative reports and multiple uses of the data and creates detailed charts and graphs. Managing action item procedures that include the timely and appropriate delegation, dissemination, due date assignment, tracking, collection, routing, and final transmission of actions. Conducting special audits, studies, or surveys to be utilized in the development of procedures, and assisting therapists in collecting complete and appropriate data for reporting processes. Maintaining time and attendance records and reports by accurately recording tour of duty from bi-weekly time schedule into employee timecards for the therapy services section of the SCI HCG. Purchasing and maintaining adequate inventory of therapy supplies on hand to minimize delays and/or disruption to the flow of care for patients served by the section.
