Accountabilities:

    The Senior SDET Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing robust automation solutions that support continuous delivery and high-quality software releases. The role requires ownership of automation frameworks, test strategy, and collaboration across engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability.

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript, applying best practices such as Page Object Model (POM) and component-based architecture.
    • Build and enhance API automation frameworks for REST, GraphQL, and SOAP services using Python and pytest, including reusable test utilities, fixtures, and validation libraries.
    • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions, creating reliable quality gates for smoke, regression, functional, and deployment validation testing.
    • Improve automation stability by identifying flaky tests, optimizing execution performance, and enhancing reporting and monitoring capabilities.
    • Develop and maintain service virtualization solutions using WireMock or similar tools to support reliable testing of dependent systems.
    • Establish automation standards, reusable frameworks, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices across quality initiatives.
    • Partner with development, product, and DevOps teams to improve application testability, delivery processes, and overall software quality.
    • Mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
    • Maintain test traceability, quality metrics, and reporting through collaboration tools and test management platforms.
    • Evaluate emerging testing technologies and recommend improvements to automation strategies and engineering practices.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software quality engineering, automation development, and modern testing frameworks, with the ability to design scalable solutions for complex applications.

      • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
      • Strong hands-on experience building Playwright-based automation frameworks using TypeScript.
      • Extensive experience with API automation using Python and pytest.
      • Experience testing REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs in distributed or microservices-based environments.
      • Proven experience designing automation frameworks from the ground up and maintaining scalable test architectures.
      • Strong understanding of automation principles including test isolation, reusable fixtures, data-driven testing, and framework design patterns.
      • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, or similar technologies.
      • Hands-on experience with Git workflows, pull requests, and version control best practices.
      • Experience with Jira or similar tools for test management, traceability, and sprint reporting.
      • Knowledge of mocking and service virtualization approaches, including WireMock or equivalent solutions.
      • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex automation and application issues.
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
      • Comfortable working independently in Agile/Scrum environments.
      • Preferred qualifications include:

        • Experience migrating Selenium-based automation frameworks to Playwright.
        • Knowledge of Java testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
        • Familiarity with Spring Boot microservices and distributed architectures.
        • Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, Gatling, or Locust.
        • Exposure to observability and monitoring tools for troubleshooting automation issues.
        • Experience with enterprise test data management strategies.
        • ISTQB Advanced Certification or equivalent.
        • Experience working on high-traffic digital products or platforms.
