Job Overview
As an Sr. Consultant/Manager of the Swiss Advisory Services team, you will work directly with life sciences clients as a trusted partner, helping them navigate complex strategic and operational challenges. You will shape and deliver high‑impact consulting engagements for stakeholders across pharma affiliates, building deep client intimacy through insight‑driven dialogue, proactive partnership, and consistent delivery excellence.
You will be accountable for driving client satisfaction, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the team in achieving and exceeding its commercial ambitions.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Sr. Consultant at IQVIA, you will be responsible for managing or leading multiple engagements and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries by:
Managing project teams in the design, development and delivery of client deliverables
Leveraging business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client questions
Serving as key point of contact with clients
Providing follow-up with clients after engagements have been completed to ensure client satisfaction
Ensuring clear communication throughout projects and within the team
Supporting the development of intellectual property for use on future engagements
Managing the process of proposal preparation and/or modifications including overall bid integrity
Developing and/or elevating new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leads
Developing broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and training
Providing direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams. Direct consulting teams through consistent participation in team meetings
Providing high level input to, and ensures the development of, client reports and presentations and delivery of all or significant portions of findings to client
Sharing subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients
Leading ad hoc work streams on critical people-related issues such as recruitment, learning and development
Serving as a coach to junior members
Your Porfile
5–8 years of experience in insights, analytics, or consulting within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry, with demonstrated career progression and increasing levels of responsibility.
Strong expertise in commercial strategy, including sales force effectiveness, segmentation & targeting, field force sizing, launch excellence, promotional effectiveness, commercial analytics, and operating model design.
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical industry trends, key market challenges, and consulting methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Strong analytical, interpretive, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Proven experience leading strategic consulting engagements, managing multiple projects, and delivering high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to set clear direction, delegate effectively, coach and develop team members, and empower others to take on greater responsibility and make decisions independently.
Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and business writing skills.
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and executives.
Experience working effectively in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to identify business opportunities, develop proposals, and contribute to business growth.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree is an advantage.
Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
Willingness to travel within Switzerland (20–25%) and right to live and work in the recruiting country.
Demonstrates client centricity, delivery excellence, collaboration, empowerment, and coaching in day-to-day interactions and leadership.
