The F135 Scrap and Logistics Manager will provide full-time Sustainment services to the F-35's (Joint Strike Fighter) F135 Propulsion System Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Sustainment Program. Focusing on CONUS and international scrap and demilitarization procedures, and management of hardware deemed scrap, expendable or being held for development work. The F135 Scrap and Logistics Manager will be a key player on a team that continuously refines and delivers improved material management and logistics support capabilities for frustrated hardware. This is a decision-making, influential position requiring exceptional communication and teamwork skills interacting with all levels of management.

What Will You Do

  • Manage and Improve the F135 scrap and demilitarization program and maintaining 100% accountability of all scrap hardware

  • Support the refinement of material forecasts with regards to condemnation rates

  • Create and confirm budget estimates for scrap management

  • Execution and authoring of key documents and deliverables including the F135 Scrap and Demilitarization, Non-Serviceable Asset Management plans, supply chain management plans, and international depot maintenance activation plans; Including material demilitarization, and property accounting  

  • Support the F135 Logistics Program Management (LPM) Supply Chain Team with frustrated hardware management

  • Ability to Lift 25 lbs. overhead regularly unassisted, as well as the ability to cope with constant standing, sitting, and squatting

Qualifications You Must Have

  • BA/BS degree

  • 5 years of operational supply chain/logistics management and/or maintenance operation experience or an Advanced degree with 3 years of operational supply chain/logistics management and/or maintenance operation experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

  • Some travel (less than 10%) is expected

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience and a deep understanding of project and supplier management and procurement

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, plan, communicate, and execute action plan with quantifiable results across cross functional teams

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to adjust schedule to support customers

  • Ability to operate with limited guidance to accomplish business objectives and organize, logically analyze, and present hardware information

  • Individuals must work well across organizations, with partners/vendors

  • Knowledge of current Department of War engine material and logistics support as well as international shipping/export compliance

  • Self-starter ability, initiative, and capacity to drive complex issues to closure

  • Good analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
