In addition to your specific program duties, this position may supervise and mentor Project Analysts who provide critical support across a variety of contracts within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The Role
Working closely with the Contract Program Manager (CPM), you will provide essential operational support to ensure the program runs efficiently. You will serve as a key coordinator between the CPM, the Finance department, and the Government customer, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all deliverables. Additionally, you will support the management of the Kitting Contract requirements to ensure program readiness and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support & Compliance
- Deliverable Tracking: Coordinate the CDRL (Contract Data Requirements List) lifecycle; track submissions to ensure they are delivered on time and align with the Technical Direction Letter (TDL) and project requirements.
- Government Coordination: Assist in the coordination of COR (Contracting Officer's Representative) and KO (Contracting Officer) approvals for material and travel requests.
- SOW Monitoring: Help monitor program activities to ensure deliverables and requests remain within the defined scope of work and are submitted under the correct contract CDRL.
- Risk Support: Assist the CPM in identifying potential project risks and tracking the progress of mitigation strategies.
Financial Coordination
- Financial Tracking: Work with the Finance team to track program spend, labor forecasts, and monthly contract reports, providing the CPM with updated visibility into the program's financial status.
- Report Review: Review financial reports for variances and alert the CPM to areas requiring attention.
- Resource Assistance: Support the development of funding plans and labor forecasts to ensure operational needs are met.
Program Execution
- Operational Assistance: Provide dedicated support to the CPM by managing daily operational tasks, allowing leadership to focus on high-level strategy and customer relations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate between program teams, functional partners, and the finance department to ensure requirements are synchronized.
- Process Improvement: Support the implementation of improvements to internal tracking and reporting workflows to increase efficiency.
Potential Supervisory Leadership & Team Management Responsibilities
- Cross-Program Supervision: Provide guidance, oversight, and daily direction to a team of Project Analysts supporting multiple contracts; review work for accuracy and ensure team-wide deadlines are met.
- Mentorship & Development: Lead the professional growth of the analyst team, ensuring consistent application of BAE Systems' operational standards across all supported programs.
- Workflow Optimization: Lead the implementation of improvements to internal tracking and reporting workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy across the analyst pool.
Location
This position is located in Chesapeake, VA.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience, with a strong emphasis on supporting prime government contracts.
- Demonstrated experience managing deliverables and navigating the requirements of the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).
- Ability to interact professionally with government officials (COR/KO) and translate complex program needs into clear approval requests.
- Proven ability to self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict government and corporate policies.
- Strong ability to influence diverse teams and coordinate effectively across different organizational functions.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Deltek CostPoint, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and travel/material authorization workflows.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
