Single PositionView All JobsSyndicate Operations Managed Accounting – AssociateHong Kong, Hong KongApply NowFind out how well you match with this jobUpload your resumeJob descriptionEmployment TypeFull timeJob LevelProfessionalPosted DateJul 21, 2026We’re seeking someone to join our APAC Syndicate Operations team as a Syndicate Operations Managed Accounting Associate to support Global Capital Markets transactions by managing deal revenue recognition, balance sheet items, and financial controls throughout the transaction lifecycle.In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls, and deliver strategic automation solutions.This is an Associate level position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post-execution processes.The AP Syndicate Operations team consists of seven professionals supporting operational and finalization processes for AP Equity new issue products, working closely with global teams across New York, London, Mumbai, and Japan.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you’ll do in the role:Liaise with syndicate banks to confirm fee allocations, expense treatments, and receivable/payable balancesCoordinate fee and revenue reporting with Global Capital Markets, Financial Controllers, and internal stakeholdersRecord and maintain deal-related P&L, receivables, and payables in sub-ledger systemsMaintain accurate balance sheet records for Asia GCM transactions, including fees and provisionsPartner with Financial Controllers on daily P&L reporting, reconciliations, and accounting mattersInteract with bankers and deal teams to review deal expenses, accruals, and reserve requirementsEstablish and monitor expense reserves throughout the lifecycle of transactionsOversee post-closing expense allocation, recoveries, and billing with syndicate participantsManage transaction finalization processes up to 90 days post-closing, ensuring timely resolution of balancesComplete final deal close-out, reconciliation, and balance sheet clearance activitiesContribute to global strategic initiatives and process improvement projects to enhance automation and controlsWhat you’ll bring to the role:Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skillsUnderstanding of accounting principles, particularly payables, receivables, and revenue recognitionExperience in identifying and managing financial risks related to accounting and cash managementAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders across business unitsExperience in working collaboratively with global teams and cross-functional partnersProficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital tools such as CopilotAt least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this roleWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
