Job Description: Epic Implementation Lead

Position Summary

The Epic Implementation Lead provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Epic implementation initiatives, serving as the primary project management and application partner for Clinical Applications Managers and Directors. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Epic implementation projects across Inpatient (IP) and Ambulatory (Amb) clinical applications while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, project timelines, budget, and quality standards.

The Implementation Lead collaborates closely with Clinical Applications Managers and Directors to provide mentorship, project governance, and day-to-day leadership for implementation teams. The role ensures successful delivery of Epic initiatives by proactively managing risks, resolving issues, facilitating stakeholder communication, and promoting best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Lead complex Epic implementation, optimization, and upgrade initiatives for Inpatient and Ambulatory clinical applications.

  • Serve as the primary project management partner for Clinical Applications Managers and Directors.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including analysts, clinical stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership.

Hourly range: $90-$105. The hourly range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
