Accountabilities:

    The Total Rewards Partner will be responsible for managing compensation and recognition initiatives while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, business leaders, and cross-functional teams.

    • Support annual compensation cycles, including warehouse compensation reviews, annual increases, store bonus processes, and one-time payment administration.
    • Prepare, process, and forecast minimum wage adjustments across different provinces to ensure compliance with Canadian employment requirements.
    • Act as a Workday Total Rewards subject matter expert by translating business needs into operational and technical requirements, supporting configuration testing, troubleshooting, and system improvements.
    • Conduct job evaluations to ensure roles are properly classified, benchmarked, and aligned with internal structures and external market standards.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition teams to provide compensation recommendations that balance market competitiveness, internal equity, pay transparency, and candidate expectations.
    • Maintain total rewards data integrity through audits, analysis, reporting, and controls that support compliance and operational accuracy.
    • Provide expertise and oversight for employee recognition programs, including monitoring budgets, improving processes, and enabling leaders to recognize employees effectively.
    • Develop compensation training materials and resources to improve organizational understanding of total rewards programs.
    • Analyze compensation data and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate has experience in compensation, recognition, and HR operations, with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage confidential information in a fast-paced environment. This professional should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization.

      • Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
      • 3–5 years of experience in compensation and/or employee recognition programs.
      • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, including EIB uploads, configuration testing, data audits, and troubleshooting.
      • Strong understanding of Canadian provincial legislation, particularly related to pay equity and pay transparency.
      • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and transform information into actionable insights.
      • Intermediate Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis.
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential employee information.
      • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities effectively.
      • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams.
      • Preferred qualifications:

        • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
        • Experience supporting compensation programs within a retail or multi-location organization.
        • Experience with recognition programs and employee engagement initiatives.
        • Benefits:

          • Competitive salary range of approximately $66,000–$99,000.
          • Fully remote work arrangement with occasional quarterly onsite team gatherings in Ottawa, Ontario.
