Skip to content Koch Home Page < Back to Search Results Senior / Process Engineer - Stamping Location(s) Kawasan Perindustrian Perai, Penang Company Molex Career Field Engineering Job Number 190239 Apply now Share Email Facebook X LinkedIn Our TeamYou'll join our Manufacturing Engineering team, owning the full terminal stamping lifecycle — from progressive die qualification through steady-state, high-speed production — to ensure precision, quality, and throughput on every run.What You Will DoDevelop, optimize, and validate stamping processes for terminal and contact production, balancing press speed, quality, and material yieldEvaluate progressive die designs for manufacturability and partner with toolmakers on die builds, modifications, and repairsTroubleshoot process- and die-related defects on the production floor (burrs, camber, dimensional drift), driving root cause analysis and corrective actionsLead die sampling, first-article inspection, and process/tool qualification for new and revised programsRun DOEs to establish robust process windows and reduce variation across presses, shifts, and material lotsPlan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for progressive dies to maximize tool life and minimize unplanned downtimeCollaborate with product design, quality, and production teams during new product introduction (NPI)Maintain process and tooling documentation, including work instructions, FMEA, SOSS and die maintenance recordsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, or related engineering field3+ years of experience in metal stamping process engineering, die engineering, or a combined roleWorking knowledge of progressive die construction and high-speed stamping principlesExperience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and die qualification activitiesProficiency with CAD software for die/part review (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)What Will Put You AheadProficiency with Siemens NX softwareHands-on die-building or die-maintenance experience (grinding, EDM, wire EDM)Familiarity with metal stamping simulation software (e.g., AutoForm, Dynaform)Experience with precision terminal/connector stamping in electronics or automotiveBackground in high-speed press operation and progressive die design principlesSix Sigma or lean manufacturing certificationAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
