Job summary
As a Vice President, People Manager in Payments Operations Strategy, Innovation and Governance (Data Insights and Analytic Solutions), you will lead a global team that delivers reliable operational reporting and analytics that leaders use to manage performance and risk. You will ensure dashboards, scorecards, and metrics remain accurate, controlled, and audit-ready through strong governance, monitoring, documentation, and access controls. You will strengthen production monitoring and reliability practices, improve incident response and learning, and reduce manual effort through automation. You will partner across Operations, Technology, and Data to resolve data issues, improve lineage, and deliver trusted insights at scale.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a global team responsible for operational reporting production, business-as-usual support, issue resolution, and ad hoc analytics delivery
- Own end-to-end production delivery for operational reporting, including scheduled runs, publishing, distribution, and stakeholder communications with clear service commitments
- Establish site reliability engineering-style practices for reporting and analytics pipelines, including observability, alerting, runbooks, on-call readiness, incident response, and post-incident reviews
- Deliver operational performance visibility through dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready metrics that are consistent, reconciled, and decision-grade
- Strengthen controls and audit readiness through data quality checks, reconciliations, lineage documentation, access controls, and evidence capture
- Set and maintain standards for metric governance, including definitions, ownership, assumptions, and change control
- Run intake, prioritization, and capacity management for requests and incidents to balance responsiveness with stability and risk controls
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to resolve defects, improve pipeline resilience, reduce recurring incidents, and modernize tooling and workflows
- Drive measurable efficiency gains by automating repeatable reporting and support work and reducing manual touchpoints and defect rates
- Communicate clearly during incidents and delivery execution, including impact, next update timing, mitigation steps, and leadership-ready summaries
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience delivering operational reporting or analytics in a production environment with service commitments and business-critical stakeholders
- People management experience leading multi-location teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and coverage planning
- Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills and the ability to deliver consistent, reconciled metrics across multiple data sources
- Experience operating in a regulated, control-oriented environment with strong accuracy, auditability, access control, and documentation discipline
- Hands-on leadership experience in production monitoring and reliability, including pipeline monitoring, alerting, incident management, and root-cause coordination
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex issues into clear business impact and action plans
- Strong prioritization and delivery management across concurrent commitments, including incident-driven work
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience building and governing dashboards and reports using analytics tools (for example, Tableau, Snowflake, Alteryx)
- Experience supporting payments operations or adjacent high-volume operations with production support expectations
- Experience with modern data platforms and analytics engineering workflows (for example, Databricks or Snowflake)
- Python experience for automation, operational utilities, and data quality checks
- Familiarity with runbooks, inventories, control checklists, and structured governance artifacts
- Demonstrated process improvement that measurably reduces manual effort, defects, and repeat incidents
- Familiarity with Jira for intake management, incident tracking, and delivery execution
