Accountabilities:
- Own top-of-funnel sales activities, including researching target accounts, developing outreach strategies, and booking qualified meetings for account executives.
- Execute multi-channel prospecting campaigns across email, phone, and SMS to connect with retail executives and key decision-makers.
- Develop personalized account-based marketing (ABM) messaging that aligns solutions with each prospect’s business priorities, challenges, and market dynamics.
- Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and automation platforms to improve research, prospecting, personalization, and sales workflows.
- Build and manage targeted prospect lists using platforms such as HubSpot, Apollo.ai, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities by understanding customer needs, business challenges, and buying potential.
- Partner closely with account executives to ensure smooth handoffs and maximize conversion opportunities.
- Research retail organizations and translate complex technology value propositions into compelling business conversations.
- Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities to generate new relationships and referrals.
- Track activity metrics, pipeline contribution, and performance goals to continuously improve sales effectiveness.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B business development, sales development, or a similar revenue-generating role, ideally within SaaS, AI, data, or technology companies.
- Demonstrated success running outbound email campaigns and generating qualified sales meetings.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot and prospecting tools including Apollo.ai and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create concise, persuasive, and personalized messaging for executive audiences.
- Experience with multi-channel outreach strategies, including email, phone prospecting, and SMS campaigns.
- Confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Ability to learn complex solutions quickly and communicate differentiated value propositions effectively.
- Practical experience using AI tools to automate research, improve prospecting, and scale personalized outreach.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working toward measurable sales goals.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience selling into retail, consumer products, or related industries.
- Familiarity with AI, consumer intelligence, predictive analytics, or emerging technology solutions.
- Understanding of retail decision-making processes, including buying, assortment planning, pricing, and markdown strategies.
- Experience with sales engagement platforms such as Outreach or Salesloft.
- Existing experience prospecting into enterprise-level accounts.
- Competitive base salary of $70,000–$80,000 annually, plus commission opportunities.
