Software Engr I (JavaScript and TypeScript)

Honeywell’s Security and Access Solutions business provides high-value security products and services that are critical for buildings around the globe. You will be joining our engineering team to help build a cloud-based unified security solution. 

As a Software Engineer, you will join a cross-functional delivery team working on our cloud-based security platform. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop features, fix bugs, and improve the user experience of our products. This role is focused on professional growth, learning best practices in software development, and contributing high-quality code to our modern web applications. 

 

 

• Implement user interface components and features using JavaScript and TypeScript 
• Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests for web applications 
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand requirements and technical designs 
• Participate in code reviews to learn from peers and improve coding standards 
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects 

MUST HAVE

• 1 year of experience developing modern web applications 
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Solid experience with React.js and its core principles (Hooks, State Management) 
• Experience consuming RESTful web services and working with asynchronous data 
• Experience writing unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

WE VALUE

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS and GCP)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 
• Experience with Node.js and server-side JavaScript 
• Familiarity with video player libraries
