What will you do?
- Implement product engineering initiatives efficiently, in accordance with corporate policies, procedures and specifications, to produce within the parameters of quality and target cost.
- Collaborates with global design centers to ensure that new product launches and current product enhancements are incorporated into specifications and procedures so that they meet the process requirements for introducing new products.
- Collaborates with all departments of the plant to find root causes and solutions of problems related to design, quality, suppliers, product or process.
How will you do it?
- Ensure released information for manufacture is aligned to global design standards and is up to date to comply with industry design, market and industry standards and requirements (AHRI, ASME, PED, ETL & UL).
- Lead new product introductions on product engineering side.
- Accountable for the effective implementation of Engineering changes to the products.
- Accountable to maintaining the reliability of information, updating and maintenance of the master data, bills of materials, engineering drawings.
- Actively work to find solutions to challenging issues that support business directives and customer needs.
- Actively participating in Kaizen events.
- Provides technical assistance to the plant including Materials, Quality Control, Engineering, and Safety.
- Propose and implement cost reduction projects to achieve plant objective.
- Propose, evaluate and implement product improvements.
- Evaluate material technical specification and standards for deviation proposals.
- Maintains understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles and processes related to fluid, thermal, and other mechanical aspects of Chillers.
What are we looking for?
Required:
- Engineering change control processes, bills of materials, drawing revisions.
- Strong background in HVAC (Chillers preferred) / Thermal Engineering.
- Technical knowledge of control systems and electrical diagrams.
- Interpretation of engineering specifications for mechanical and pressure components.
- Previous experience with new products and process introductions along with a working knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and procedures is also required.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
- English strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum 4 years applicable experience.
Preferred:
- SAP operational knowledge.
- PTC Creo or other 3D design software.
- Knowledge Core tools.
